9^th Annual Flintshire Farm Dove Hunt & Pig Pickin’

Come join Gordon Holloway and Family at Historic Flintshire Farm for the 9^th Annual Dove Hunt & Pig Pickin. Flintshire is located on the scenic Rappahannock River in Caroline County, Virginia.  Flintshire is a 670 acre agricultural farm and private hunting preserve.  

Tickets to the Dove Hunt are $100.00 ea. and include a year membership to the Flintshire Farm Sportsman’s Club. The Dove Hunt will begin at 12:00 noon and the pig pickin’ will begin at 4:00 in the afternoon. All food and drinks are provided. Adult beverages are available after the hunt. Water girls will be constantly ferrying cold water into the field.

The 100 acre Dove field is planted in Wheat and Sunflower. The crop has been very good this year and we expect an excellent hunt. A 35 acre lake borders the field and separates the picnic area from the Dove field offering spectators an excellent view of the hunt at a safe distance. Well mannered and trained dogs are encouraged.  There is plenty of water and shade.

Tickets to the event are now available and will be mailed out when payment is received. Tickets will not be available at the gate and payment will not be accepted after August 31. The event will sell out very quickly so do not delay.

Youngsters under the age of 16 are free with a paying adult. Fishing is available on the nearby lake.

Directions to Flintshire Farm:

From the South:

- Take I95 North

- Take exit 126B for US-1 S/US-17 S toward Massaponax/Spotsylvania

- Merge onto Jefferson Davis Hwy/US-1 S

- Turn left at Mills Dr/US-17 * Continue for 9.3 Miles

- Flintshire Farm will be on your left and entrance for the Dove Hunt will be marked.
